I'm Deanna Boyce, RN- Certified Health & Career Coach for nurses. I am the owner and founder of COACHING PRN. After 23+ years I retired from my nurse manager position to create my coaching business dedicated exclusively to supporting nurses. I am passionate about helping nurses manage stress, combat fatigue, improve career satisfaction, and above all....AVOID BURNOUT!🔥🙌
I've recently gotten into a "declutter mode" that I tend to do about once a year. However, it seemed a little more necessary to me this year; My daughter just had a baby 🩵 (I'm a new Nana!), my stepdaughter is having a baby in days, the SoCal fires have me thinking about preparedness, and my Coaching business is getting busy! I know it's good to get rid of stuff that's just taking up space and collecting dust, but i didn't realize how much of a mental drain it can be.
You see, everytime I see the boxes of photos I've been meaning to go through, or the over stuffed sock drawer, or the disorganized kitchen drawer- it mentally weighs on me. That's because every single time I see it, those thoughts of what I NEED to do immediately followed by the thoughts of NOT doing it keep coming up time and time again. So basically it's PHYSICAL clutter as well as MENTAL clutter. Which is really dumb, because it's an easy fix, right? I finally said to myself- "screw it. just do it and get it over with". And I did. And it feels so good because now I can focus on other more important things...like YOU! 😊
LIFE CLUTTER comes in many forms: physical, digital, emotional, mental, calendar, financial and more. When you add all of this up you can see how it could impede your wellness and career goals. One of the first things we do in my coaching program is work on clutter. Because you have to make space for what's important to you. "Out with the old, in the new" so to speak.
Decluttering isn't just about cleaning up your physical space—it's about creating a vibe that helps you feel good, stay focused, and grow. Over time, we end up with more than just stuff; we collect emotional baggage, bad habits, debt and distractions that hold us back. By letting go of things that don’t serve us—whether it's clutter, outdated beliefs, or unnecessary commitments—we make room for what truly matters. Decluttering is a powerful way to take care of yourself, giving you back your time, energy, and focus so you can live with more purpose, intention, and peace. It’s about clearing the space, both inside and out.
🌟It’s about making room for a life that aligns with who we are and who we aspire to be.
